Okay I am doing my best, the past few weeks have been hectic and really you guys don't want to hear about my family visits or my wee romance. So we begin a new month and it's chalk full of things to do. The Kill (Dress to Kill) magazine launch is a great way to start the month let alone your week. All the info you need is in the invite you see here, and that is only the beginning of fun events this week. On Friday June 5th The Swedish Model Party an event not to be missed not only do you get to hear the Unique sounds of the many amazing bands coming from the Swedish Model Label, I am currently listening to Moto boy and Loving him and his soothing mellow and some times sharp voice. Unique and indescribable really. Oh! and the Marions sweet melodic pop with a bit of spice. Check out the news letter it has all the info you need. for the party happening at Salon Official

And last but certainly not least one of my favorite places and kind friends are having an anniversary party. Head Quarters (HQ) Gallery and Boutique is having their third year anniversary On Saturday June 6 titled 'WE ARE THREE' a group exhibition of new and old wonderful fabulous talented people who make the place so special Saturday June 6pm-11pm phew!! This is just the first week of June! I'm already dizzy with anticipation of this week!

Fish & Bird in Montreal!

On my way to the boutique this morning I spotted a poster for a concert tomorrow. Fish & Bird are a wonderful folk duo from Victoria BC. There are two members of the band, Adam Iredale-Gray on fiddle and Taylor Ashton on banjo, guitar and vocals. They are both very talented musicians and their music is just so much fun to watch. Some of my friends from music school in Victoria used to play shows with them and I was always blown away by their talent. They really just play feel-good music that will warm your heart and soul.

The show is tomorrow night at 9:30pm at Inspecteur Epingle. The show will also feature the very talented David Simard and Oliver Swain!

I think it will be a really enjoyable evening of tunes!

Hey Unigirls!

just letting you know that Melanie and myself, will be doing a lecture at the next Creacamp on Saturday.


Creacamp is an event where lecturer from different field come and present their work and talk about their experiences. The goal is to stimulate and inspire the participants of the activity.

I think it will be fun time!!

Lilacs..wish we had scratch and sniff screens

Hmmm seems this girl around town has been a bit Slack...but lately all I really want to do is to stay outside and wait for the lilacs to fully bloom and then I will breath them in...and if I find some, not in a persons yard (I promise dear Uni girls and boys I will not pick your lilacs!). But I will search ally ways for some and maybe with my fingers crosses I will find a patch, tree, bush, wouden't it be nice if there really was a lilac patch? And maybe if I am not completely drunk on their scent I will bring them to the sweetest store and the girls inside...yes Unicorn I'm talking about you!

Maryanna and the Mural

Here at UNICORN we love art of all kinds and we now have a wonderful visual artist working on a mural on one of our walls!
