Tami et les Garra Rufa

Hello!

Pour mon premier post, je vous propose une sortie beauté des pieds chez Tami, un petit salon sur Duluth! Ok, pas très original me direz-vous...sauf que...votre pédicure va être effectuée par des petits poissons, des Garra Rufa, qui rendront vos petits petons doux comme de la soie!

Une expérience peu commune que de plonger ses pieds dans un aquarium pour un polissage toute en finesse (les Garra Rufa n'ont pas de dents, précision non négligeable!!).

Vous n'aurez plus qu'à vous détendre dans un fauteuil massant pour la suite du soin et choisir parmi la multitude de couleurs de vernis OPI ou Essie qu'ont à vous proposer Tami ou Jenny! 

Reste à préciser que les manucures sont tout aussi réussies!

Outfit of the day! Perfect for the hot weather and going out at night!

Jumpsuit by Barila, it has a bandeau top that covers the front and exposes the back, it can be dressed up and dressed down - whichever you prefer! It is an incredibly versatile piece, which is great.

Nous avons appelé cette activité " Arrangement Floral" et voici de quoi il s'agit...

Avec l'aide de notre experte en fleurs, Carmel, Nous allons apprendre à faire des arrangements floraux pour toutes occasions. L'activité durera environ 1h30 et sera séparée en deux parties. La première sera educative et nous apprendra les techniques de base. La deuxième sera plus axée sur le design et la créativité. C'est à ce moment que nous utiliserons les techniques apprise et où nous pourrons laisser aller notre créativité!!

Dear Unicorn Gals and members of the Unicorn Collective,

Here at UNICORN, plans for our sixth Collective activity are well under way! This coming event is a little different and I am very excited for it!

We are calling it the *Flower arrangements* and here is what it is all about...

With the help of our flower expert, Carmel, we will learn how to do some flower arrangements for any occasion.The activity will be 1h30 long and will be separated in two parts. First part will be animated by Carmel who will explain to us how flower arrangements work with the help of a little demo. Second part is the fun part where we get to go crazy and be creative with what we've learned in mind.


Let us break down the details for you ladies:

ACIVITY: flower arrangements
PRICE: 10$
DATE: Tuesday July 28th
TIME: 7pm
PLACE: Boutique Unicorn
ACTIVITY EXPERT: Carmel
WHAT TO BRING: Flowers (that you find in "ruelle", field, wild flowers and herbs, grass, etc be creative! Also some contenant to use as a base. There too, in your choice of contenant, be creative! it will be more challenging!

Growing Up is an ongoing collaboration between Tokyo-based photographer, Patrick Tsai and NYC-based photographer, Coley Brown. Documenting this lifelong act, which they have done across the world, their exhibition features candid photographs of personal moments that are both intimate and magical. The outcome is a mesmerizing survey of growing up- one of life's most universal experiences.

Artist Statement-
"Growing Up was spurred by a spontaneous scene we witnessed together at Shibuya station in Tokyo, Japan- where two high school girls were leaning against a wall, one was crying while the other was trying to comfort her. Even though they were surrounded by a city of millions, they were the only ones that existed for that brief moment. The photograph we took of them that day eventually became the genesis of our project, a project whose intention was to document and explore the inevitable process of growing up."

About Patrick Tsai
Patrick Tsai was born in America in 1981. After graduating from the film program at NYU, he moved to Taiwan to practice photography. Three years later he met Chinese photographer, Madi Ju and moved to China. Together they started the online studio/photo diary, 'My Little Dead Dick' which obtained cult status and was thereafter shortlisted at the 2008 Hyere’s festival. After his break up with Ju, Patrick moved to Tokyo- where he now resides. His work has been featured in various publications such as Vice Magazine's Annual Photo Issue and Foam Magazine.

About Coley Brown
Coley Brown was born in Louisiana in 1987. At age 19, he moved to New York City where, for the next two years, he traveled the USA assisting photographers such as Ryan McGinley. His work, the result of his constant traveling and exploration of the world around him, recently resulted in 'Jam Jelly Honey Wild Rice'- his first monograph and, his first solo exhibition in Osaka, Japan.
